Garissa Youth Environment Movement: Garissa, North Eastern Province, Kenya; Garissa Youth Environment Movement (GYEM) is a non-profit making youth group based in Garissa. The group is a newly formed as a result of motivation from Garissa Youth Project’s work readiness training program and Youth Action’s week. The group is registered with the Department of Social Services and Culture, Garissa. GYEM was formed in order to give youths a chance to volunteer to be engaged in community services, mobilize the general public so as to protect the environment and Increase level of awareness and participation in environmental activities.
